In the realm of assisted reproduction, an IVF collection, often referred to as an Aspiration or Ovum Pick Up (OPU), is the intricate process of harvesting unfertilized oocytes (unfertile eggs) directly from the ovaries of a donor cow or heifer. Following aspiration, the recovered oocytes undergo fertilization within one day and are subsequently transferred seven days after this crucial stage, marking the journey towards creating the next generation of superior genetics.
